Founded in 1915
and headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, Kiwanis International is a
thriving organization of service- and community-minded individuals who support children

The main objective
of Rotary is service in the community, in the workplace, and
throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of
today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the
environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational
opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals,
and vocational and career development. The Rotary motto is Service Above Self. Meetings are at 7AM at the Gristmill Restaurant in Burgaw. Call 259-2132 for more information. |

Legion Post 167. The
American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, mutual-help, war-time
veterans organization. The American Legion focuses a great part of its efforts in helping
the community through fundraising programs, educational activities, library and museum

Boy Scouts of America | I'm sure that for many children, the first opportunity to do things for their local community may come from scouting projects. There is plenty of need for adult participation in scouting programs - not necessarily troop leaders. There are too many in our area to list with accuracy and there is much overlap of local units and their service area.
