About the Chamber:
Where is the Chamber office?
The Chamber of Commerce office and public display area is located in Hampstead Village.
The Chamber office responds to inquiries from local residents and visitors. You may browse the attractive display of brochures for maps, information on the Hampstead area, local sights and business services. Your business brochure will be a welcome addition.
What does the Chamber do for the Community?
The Greater Hampstead Chamber of Commerce annually sponsors scholarships to graduates of Topsail High School for their continuing education. The Chamber actively participates in the Marine Corps "Toys for Tots" program. Individual public service organizations are invited to participate in the annual Expo! to help build public awareness of their activities. The Chamber responds quickly to the needs of the community within the purview of our mission.
What can YOU do for the Chamber?
The Board of Directors is made up of business people, like you, who volunteer time and service to organize and promote Chamber events and services. Membership is not a spectator sport. We welcome your ideas and your hands. Member participation is critical to the vitality of the Chamber of Commerce. As an investment, the Greater Hampstead Chamber of Commerce consistently pays bigger and better dividends to Members. We welcome you!
What can the Chamber do for YOU?
Your Chamber of Commerce membership provides new and innovative ways to market your business and keeps you abreast of significant activity in the county and state government.
The Annual Banquet begins a bright new opportunity for the Chamber. The installation of three newly elected Directors to the Board and introduction of new officers is part of a festive evening. A social hour and sumptuous banquet is followed by entertainment, dancing and renewing friendships.
The Chamber sponsors the Annual Business Exposition - a family oriented festival for everyone in the Hampstead area to visit and talk with you about your business. Expo! is the first Saturday in May each year.
Ribbon Cuttings - celebrate and promote your new business, new location, renovation, additional services or expansion. Your Chamber assists you in the planning and handles press releases, mailing announcements and telephone follow up at no charge.
Card Swaps - an after hours social event sponsored by individual businesses provides an opportunity to "network" with other Chamber members . By hosting such an event your business gains recognition. Your Chamber assists you in planning, handles publicity and mails announcements.
Hampstead Merchants Holiday Open House - Christmas in Hampstead begins with the Annual Oyster Roast and is supported by coop advertising, promotion, press releases, mailings and other seasonal appropriate events.
Database - Want to announce a new product or service? Preprinted mailing labels or phone listings of the Membership are available (Members only) at nominal cost.
Business Seminars are sponsored by the Chamber at the Hampstead campus of Cape Fear Community College and are free or reduced rates. Look for announcements of subjects, dates and times.
How do I find out about these events?
The Chamber publishes a quarterly News Letter, which is mailed to all Members, and event announcements are mailed to you.
