Please Recycle

The State wants the counties to reduce the volume of solid waste by 40%. You can help by bringing these items to the Hampstead Convenience Center:

Aluminum cans
Newspapers - without inserts
Plastic milk jugs - HDPE 2 (rinsed, no caps)
Plastic soft drink bottles - PETE 1 (rinsed, no caps)
Glass - clear, green and brown (food & beverage containers, rinsed, no caps)
Cardboard - crushed
Refrigerators (food removed)
White goods (appliances/other metal items - no freon or oil)
Car batteries
Motor Oil - individuals only
Scrap metal
Scrap tires - individuals up to 5 a day, commercial operators at Hampstead Transfer Center

The Transfer Station is for certain bulk items and commercial and industrial waste, and is located on Transfer Station Road just a little north of the Convenience Center.
